Using the report button is pretty necessary, or else it wouldn't exist. Even though reporting posts that aren't inappropriate isn't allowed, here's a list of acceptable reasons that you can report the topic or post. If the post or topic breaks our guidelines If the topic owner is inactive or the topic hasn't seen a post in a long time If the topic should be stickied or ITopiced (only if there are too many stickies) If the topic needs to be moved If you're the topic owner, your topic has been closed and you want to re-open it. Those are the acceptable reasons, but if the topic owner is active and/or posting in the topic, it is not inappropriate, the forum doesn't have too many stickies and you want it to be ITopiced (and/or it isn't helpful), if the sticky doesn't meet the sticky guidelines (see wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Sticky#Reasons_for_stickying ), or the topic doesn't need to be moved, then you will probably get a warning saying we didn't find anything wrong with the topic/post.
